Acting 101 (In partnership with Between Shifts Theatre)

Acting 101 is a fun and technical introduction to acting for the stage and the screen. The first 8 weeks of the course will focus on developing acting technique for the stage. Through games, exercises and scene study, students will explore fundamentals of acting such as basic movement, listening/ reacting in character, voice projection, and subtext/objective. In the final two weeks of the class, students will learn the ins and outs of auditioning for film and will have a chance to work with the camera and audition sides. Performance: Saturday May 12th, 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm at the Eagle Eye Theatre

Students will receive instruction and training in the areas of singing, dancing, and acting with classes culminating in a fully staged production of Bugsy Malone” at the Eagle Eye Theatre. Students will gain knowledge, skills, confidence and stage experience while working as a team on this fun production. Register here.

Acting For Singers

Students will receive professional level training in a master class setting and through individual work and coaching. Skill development will focus on stagecraft and acting techniques to help singers excel in all areas of stage performance. Students will focus on developing a repertoire of monologues, scenes and songs that are performance ready. Participants will also prepare an audition portfolio including a resume, monologues and song selections. A variety of repertoire will be work-shopped for performance from art song to musical theatre and pop. Register here.
