Broadway or Bust Performing Arts

3 Week Musical Theatre Intensive - 90% FULL

July 4 - 22/23, 9:00 - 4:00

Performances July 22nd and 23rd, 7:00 pm at the Eagle Eye Theatre

Ages 7-17

This three week intensive camp develops skills singing, acting, and dancing through classes taught by professional instructors. This intensive program builds an incredible amount of skills and confidence in only three weeks and culminates in a full scale musical production at the Eagle Eye Theatre. Students will also work on scenes, monologues, improvisation, choreography and vocal technique in small group classes. Register here.


Beginner Guitar 

 July 4th - July 8th, 9:00 - 12:00

 Ages 9-13

 Learn everything you need to start playing the guitar! Students in this class will learn the basic chords needed to play many popular songs. They will be introduced to all the foundational knowledge needed to start playing the guitar including the parts of the guitar, how to tune it, scale patterns, notation, and basic strumming patterns. Students can learn on either acoustic or electric guitars. Participants should bring their own guitar to camp. Acoustic guitars are available for purchase at SAM. Register here.

July 4th - July 8th, 12:30 - 3:30

Ages 10-16 

Sing and perform your own pop set! This camp is perfect for musicians who are ready to explore solo performing while self-accompanying their instrument of choice. Whether that’s piano, guitar or ukulele, students will receive coaching on stage presence, musicality and contemporary style vocal production. Ukulele and guitar players should bring their own instrument to camp each day. Learn what makes a great set and perform for family and friends at the end of the week!   Register here. 


Junior Orchestra: In partnership with the Community Access Music Project 

July 11th - July 15th, 9:00 - 4:00

Ages 6-9

In this exciting new program, young students will have the chance to begin learning one of the instruments of the orchestra. Students will have the opportunity to select a violin, viola, or cello to explore during the camp. Participants will learn how to follow their conductor and play as an ensemble. There will be a focus on developing core elements of music such as rhythm, pitch and ear training. Bursaries for this  program are made possible through the Community Access Music Project (CAMP). BOB 1 Week Musical Theater Camp FULL

Session 1: July 18th - 22nd , 9:00 am - 3:00 pm 


Session 2: August 22nd - 26th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm 


Ages 6 - 12

Students in this group will work together to present a complete musical at the end of the week! Students will develop their singing, acting, and dancing skills through games, exercises and the staging of a musical. Add name to waitlist.


Intro to Beginner Instruments (Uke, piano, violin)  

July 25 - July 29, 9:00 - 3:00

Ages 7-10 

Get a head start on lessons for September or simply have fun learning something new! Total beginners will enjoy exploring the piano, ukulele and violin in a fun group environment. Students will practice note and rhythm reading through fun games and challenges as well as gain hands-on experience at the keyboard, learn basic strumming and picking techniques and build a repertoire of simple songs. Students will work independently and as a group. This is a great chance to discover what instrument excites you! Register here.


Becoming a Band

August 8th - August 12th, 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Ages  10-15 

Experience the exciting and creative process of becoming a band. Musicians (including vocalists) will learn the subtleties of working with an ensemble and have fun jamming with other musicians. A minimum of 2 years experience on the instrument is recommended, but all levels and abilities are welcome. Participants will receive personalized instruction and find their place in the band. Repertoire will be selected based on student interest and won’t necessarily be strictly rock. Guitarists and bassists should bring their own instruments to camp. Drummers, singers, guitar players, and keyboardists are welcome! Register here.


 Singing for Young Musicians 

August 15th - 19th, 9:00 - 12:00

Ages 5-7 

Students will develop their sense of pitch and tone through vocal exercises and fun, simple repertoire. Students will also have fun developing their sense of pitch, beat, and rhythm through songs, rhymes, movement, singing games and exploration of simple instruments as well as build their understanding of musical expression by listening and responding to a variety of musical repertoire. Sing Together 

August 15th - 19th, 12:30 - 3:30

Ages 8-11 

Participants will love working together as a vocal ensemble, learning the basics of vocal technique and performance etiquette. Students will build musicianship through practicing rounds, partner songs and simple harmonies as well as ear training and reading simple notation. This ensemble will learn a variety of repertoire from pop songs to traditional favourites. Register here.
