Melissa Braun is a passionate voice teacher, music educator and community builder.
As a voice teacher, Melissa aims to help each student develop the skills and techniques they need to express freely in a range of styles. She loves exploring tools that allow students to communicate narrative, character, and emotion and delights in the moment when students feel they have truly conveyed meaning through their music.
Pianist, Dancer and Choreographer, Linda Hayes has been teaching and performing for 30 years. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Associate Diploma in Piano and Music Theory. Her teachers are Ellen Silverman and Robert Rogers. In Jazz piano, she studied with Robert Doyle for 10 years.
Lisa is a dedicated musician passionate about all genres and styles, with a deep appreciation of the value of a classical foundation. She believes in the power of finding the right style for each student to motivate and inspire them to achieve their full potential. She is a cellist and pianist who has been a member of the Delta Youth Orchestra, the New Westminster Symphony Orchestra, the Willingdon Symphony Orchestra, numerous string quartets, and small ensembles throughout Vancouver.
Tyrone was born on the unceded homelands of the Katzie First Nation in what is now Maple Ridge, BC. He is a cis man of mixed Black ancestry by way of the African slave trade and European settlers. Tyrone’s practice includes a combination of music and philosophy reflecting the various continents he has travelled to and studied on including North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
Since graduating Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2013, Scott has become an in-demand guitarist and guitar teacher in the Vancouver music scene. He has played well over 500 performances since 2013 and has toured extensively across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Scott began his music teaching career at age 16 through the support of his guitar teacher.
Sabrina Perry brings her classical training, fiery fiddle playing, and deep sensitivity to her dynamic and passionate performances and teaching.
Kayla has been studying voice since she was 7; she loved to sing art songs and opera from a young age and had completed her RCM Grade 9 exam at age 17. Kayla then went on to Douglas College where she earned a certificate in voice performance.
Georgia moved to Vancouver in June 2018 from Australia. She started singing in the Australian Girls Choir at the age of 5 and continued throughout her youth and high school years.
Based in Squamish, Jocelyn Pettit is a vibrant fiddle player, stepdancer, singer, and educator. With uplifting energy and engaging stage presence, Jocelyn integrates the Celtic and folk traditions of her roots into her music.
Christopher Berner is a trumpet player, composer, and arranger from Cochrane, Alberta.
Evan has been playing and studying guitar since the age of 10. He holds a diploma in Music and Digital Media, focused in guitar and performance from St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario.
Coming from a musical background since childhood, Steven has a deep passion for all genres of music. Steven studied classical music and theory with Cynthia Goddard for 13 years. After establishing a classical background, he wanted to pursue an interest in music of the world and studied jazz privately with Robert Doyle for 5 years, and at Capilano University for 2 years.
Saša is a passionate classical pianist and teacher, who enjoys teaching and playing all genres of music, may it be Jazz, Classical, Pop, Latin, etc. She started taking piano lessons at the age of 8 and has been performing ever since. Saša holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Ljubljana, where she studied in the class of the world-famous pianist Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak.
Michelle Bardach is a Coast Salish singer and actor, originally from Vancouver. She grew up performing from a young age, and eventually went on to graduate from the Musical Theatre Program at Capilano University.
Dan Parry is a motivating drum and hand percussion instructor, music production educator, and group counsellor. Bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to his private music students, he inspires them to become versatile and dynamic players. As a therapist, whether working with individual clients or in a group setting, his primary objectives are to motivate and improve his clients’ emotional and mental well-being through his “Rhythm to Recovery” program.
Elliott Nicholson is a guitarist, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He began his involvement with music at the age of 8 playing guitar and singing after being taught a handful of basic guitar chords by his grandfather. He has since expanded his instrumental repertoire to include bass (electric and double), banjo, mandolin, and ukulele, among others.
Educator, pianist, vocalist, and chamber artist, Amber’s versatility brings a fresh approach to all things music. Amber’s primary objective as a music teacher is to not only build strong foundations for life-long musicking, but to foster students’ self-expression through exploration of various genres along with open discussions about the creative spirit.
In life, sometimes practicality interrupts your path to destiny. Tenor Lyndon Ladeur’s dream of becoming a performer took a detour through the University of Waterloo’s mathematics program before Opera took its place within his heart.
A native of Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, Lyndon grew up an athlete, playing hockey at a high level for over ten years. During this time, Lyndon was fascinated by the idea of “competition”. Most athletes desired to be the best, whereas Lyndon strived for his best,
encouraging those around him to do the same. He strongly believes that the music world has space for everyone, as long as you’re willing to search.
Apart from creating his own music, Lyndon hopes to help bring music to more rural areas. Coming from a small town, Lyndon hopes to inform more youth of the different styles attributed to classical music, and encourage them to be adventurous and spread the love of music
